"The Wound is the Place Where the Light Enters You." ~ Rumi
Over the past 16 years, the Women and Wellness event has highlighted mental health supports on PEI and shared stories of hope and recovery while educating women on the importance of mental health awareness and education. Women and Wellness grew out of one family’s loss of a son and brother by suicide and their resulting awareness of how common, yet hidden, mental illness continues to be. CMHA PEI held its very first event back in 2009, and since then, the cumulative total raised has been over $235,000 in support of mental health programs and services delivered by CMHA PEI.
